Smoky quartz on granite, 14.5x11 cm
Category overview
Vordre Zinggenstock, Grimsel, Berne, Switzerland
Fr. 1580.-- including VAT
This is the kind of smoky quartz for which the Rufibach Cleft became famous for: saturated color, slender and lustrous crystals, good clarity and a light colored granite as a nicely contrasting matrix.
This specimen has a crown-like arrangement of crystals and one dominating crystal as background.
There are a few minor mm-sized spots of damage. These have to be looked for and are in no way obvious.
14.5 cm (almost 6") wide, 11 cm (4,5") high.
There are even a few bits of fine grained hematite at the base, clustered between some points.
