This specimen clearly represents one of the best matrix tourmalines from Switzerland. Highly lustrous, sharp crystal on slightly smoky quartz. On the right side of the tourmaline there are bits of spessartite garnet.
Pegmatites are fairly rare in the Swiss Alps and the ones containing intact minerals such as a tourmaline like this are totally exceptional.
