An outstanding example of an Alpine classic: unusually sharp dodecahedral crystals of almandine garnet in silvery greenish micaschist.
The crystals measure up to 40 mm in diameter and show some red internal reflections along the edges.
Specimen size 16x11 cm.
From the collection of Meister Juweliere (Zurich), a renowned Swiss jeweller.
The specimen dates back to approx. 1950.
