A cluster of phantom quartz dominated by a spectacular doubly terminated crystal that shows about 10 individual phantom layers on the inside.
Provenance is the Piz Regina cleft (2000-2004) which produced the biggest quartz cluster ever recovered in the Alps. The cleft also produced some elegant hand sized specimens - regular quartz and phantom quartz, of which this represents a true stunner. Specimen size: 12x8 cm.
